Red Roof Inn Hartford - Vernon

This hotel was easy to get to with a variety of dining options near by. The young lady behind the front desk was friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the furnishings has been recently updated. The renovations were still very much in progress and the breakfast area had no counters or seating, so there was no breakfast available during our stay. The room was clean, but there were some missing trim tiles in the bathroom and minor cosmetic repairs that were needed. The mini fridge did not have a freezer part, so I had to ask the front desk to put them in a freezer for me, which they happily did!

Super cool staff. Noise can be heard outside the room. Flat pillows. No microwave. Upgraded to double bed. Don’t go to the Red Robin nearby.

It is in close proximity to Hartford, University of Connecticut, and only 1.5 hours to Boston. The rooms are clean, spacious, and the mattresses are very comfortable. The air conditioner is quiet and works well. The temperature of the hot water is adequate. There is a laundry facility on the first floor. The staff are incredibly welcoming and attentive. Nice dog friendly hotel currently doing a lot of renovations and it looks like the first focus has been the rooms. Rooms I saw are perfect with nice laminated flooring. Service is friendly and helpful. Outside is a bit rough but quiet and safe. Would appreciate more grass for the dogs but plenty of nearby parks. Would definitely recommend and stay again

I came in just needing a clean, quiet spot to rest, but what I got was way more than that. The staff here are so kind and genuine. The room was super clean, the bed was comfortable, and everything worked just like it should. It was simple, but honestly, that’s all I needed—and they nailed it. It’s not a fancy hotel, but the warmth and peace I felt staying here meant a lot. If you’re just looking for a safe, clean, no-stress place with people who actually care, this is it. The first night I had a problem with them booking my room to someone else while I was sleeping, but it got straightened out. But the room was clean, nothing fancy, no pictures, very simple. It is an older hotel but they are painting and remodeling.

Had a great stay with my women's football team for our playoff game. Just be mindful there is no elevator it's just two floors but easy access to your room. I did like the fact the windows open up. I like some fresh air in the mornings. Close proximity to Vernon dinner and the deli place which had awesome food. The staff was extremely friendly and hospitable.
